How sendexcutor works

A complete walkthrough, from sign-up to delivery. Nothing here is hidden in fine print.

1. Sign up with two secrets

You register with your email and choose two different secrets:

  • Login password — to log in to sendexcutor.com and manage your account.
  • Check-in passphrase — what you type on your check-in links to prove you're well. It is never used to log in.

We verify your email first, because that's where your check-in reminders go.

2. Choose your check-in schedule

Pick how often you want to check in and on which day:

  • Daily (Premium and Custom plans)
  • Weekly — pick a weekday, e.g. every Monday
  • Every two weeks — pick a weekday
  • Monthly — pick a day 1–31 (in shorter months the last day is used, so the 31st becomes 28 February or 30 June)

Each period starts at midnight in your time zone. At that moment we generate a brand-new 64-character link for you and email it.

3. Write your assets

An asset is simply an email you write in advance: a title (the subject), a message (rich text, with images if you like), optional attachments, and the recipients in To, CC and BCC — exactly like any email client.

Saving an asset never sends it. You can edit or delete assets at any time, and use Send me a test copy to see exactly what recipients would get.

Free: 3 assets, 25 MB of files each, common file types. Premium: 10 assets, 100 MB each, any file type.

4. Check in

Open the link from your reminder email (or from your dashboard). It lives on a separate site, auth.sendexcutor.com, and asks for one thing: your check-in passphrase. Enter it and you're done for that period.

  • Your very first successful check-in arms the account. Before that, nothing can ever be delivered — it proves the flow works and that you know your passphrase.
  • Check in any time during the period. Once the next period starts, the old link is replaced and stops working.
  • If you've already checked in, opening the link again just tells you when the next period starts.
  • We also send a friendly nudge halfway through the period if we haven't heard from you.

5. Wrong passphrase, missed periods

  • Enter the wrong passphrase 5 times in a period and that link is disabled. We email you about it. Log in and click Issue a new link to get a fresh one for the same period — so someone with access to your inbox can't burn your periods on purpose.
  • A period with no successful check-in counts as missed. Each missed period bumps your counter and the next reminder tells you so.
  • Any successful check-in resets the counter to zero.

6. Delivery ("execution")

When the 3rd consecutive period ends without a check-in, we assume you can no longer respond:

  1. We send a final notice with a last-chance link that still works.
  2. 24 hours later (the next day), every active asset is delivered to its To, CC and BCC recipients — from [email protected], with replies going to your real email.
  3. Small files are attached; larger sets become secure download links valid for 180 days.
  4. Your account is then closed. No further reminders or links are generated.

Check in at any point before step 2 and the whole thing is cancelled.

7. Plans, lapses and downgrades

  • Premium and Custom are bought in months. We remind you a week before expiry and daily in the last three days.
  • If a subscription lapses you go back to Free: only 3 assets stay active (mark the ones you'd keep on your assets page), the rest go on hold for 90 days. If a kept asset's files exceed the Free limit, the message is still delivered but the files are held back with a note to recipients.
  • Downgrading on purpose walks you through deleting anything that doesn't fit — you see each asset before you confirm.

8. Privacy and security

  • Two secrets, two different hashing algorithms (bcrypt and Argon2id). Optional two-factor authentication for login; changing the check-in passphrase needs an emailed code (and your authenticator, if enabled).
  • Regular staff see asset titles only, never content or files.
  • Uploaded images are re-encoded so nothing can hide inside them; every file is checked by content, not just by name.
  • Every login and every check-in attempt is logged with its IP address so you can spot anything unusual.
